‘Lightly’ is an empowering, melodic new track from London-based artist WILDES. Her hauntingly beautiful voice remains the centrepiece throughout, whether its over subtle piano work, sweeping cinematic textures or even when joined by distant, ethereal harmonies. The track uses simplicity to its advantage, with dramatic hooks being used to make a clear point of her powerful lyrics. “This song symbolises hope. Writing it gave me permission me to imagine how much better my life could be, beyond the fear and worry I had been living in for a number of years,” explains WILDES.
